ANÚNA - On a Cold Winter's Night

The Irish choir ANÚNA returns to the Netherlands and Belgium with a series of December concerts, led by composer and founder Michael McGlynn.

During the concert, the singers move through the aisles and surround the audience with multi-part singing, rhythmic power and moments of silence. The Christmas programme combines well-known seasonal songs with music from the Irish vocal tradition.

The name ANÚNA is drawn from the Irish language and reflects a tradition encompassing lament, joy and lullaby.

'Anúna, thank you for your genius of melody and harmony!' - Bono (U2)

'Michael McGlynn is a remarkable composer and choral leader. Medieval texts and traditional airs are recast in his beautiful and startling music' - Elvis Costello
