New Cool Collective

For over 30 years, New Cool Collective has been making danceable jazz, soul and afrobeat - as an eight-piece regular lineup or as a 19-piece big band. Standing still is simply not in this band's DNA.

The group was formed in 1993 at Amsterdam's Soul Kitchen, when Benjamin Herman and DJ Graham B joined forces. Since then, the band has toured the world non-stop and collaborated with artists such as Tony Allen, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis and Jules Deelder. Following the album 'Everything is OK' and the live album 'On Tour', they are now working on new material.

At MEZZ, Benjamin Herman, Rory Ronde, Joost Kroon, Frank van Dok, Jos de Haas, Willem Friede, Leslie Lopez and David Rockefeller take the stage. Their motto: "Get the people moving".
