New Cool Collective

New Cool Collective has been performing since 1993 and is regarded as one of the most adventurous live bands in the Netherlands. The eight-piece ensemble is led by saxophonist Benjamin Herman and combines jazz, afrobeat, Latin, funk and dance into an energetic live show that works equally well in clubs, at festivals and in concert halls.

Over the years, the band has collaborated with artists such as Tony Allen, Typhoon, Georgie Fame and Jules Deelder. In 2024, the studio album Everything is OK was released; in 2025, On Tour followed, a live album by the New Cool Collective Big Band.

The band's motto has remained the same for over thirty years: Get the people moving.
