Sondre Lerche

Sondre Lerche was born in Bergen and has been a musician for most of his life. His work moves between upbeat pop, orchestral arrangements and experimental indie rock. As a teenager, he drew international attention with his debut 'Faces Down', which Rolling Stone described as "one of the most beautiful, sunniest pop albums of the year."

Over the following two decades, he lived primarily in America and released eight more studio albums. He performed on Letterman, Conan and NPR's Tiny Desk, composed music for feature films and collaborated in the studio and on stage with artists including Regina Spektor and Philip Glass. He also toured with Stereolab, Elvis Costello and St. Vincent.

Beyond his musical output, Lerche found time for other projects: he published two children's books, launched his own line of natural wines and published a collection of musical essays on artists from A-ha to Lana Del Rey.

About his latest album, he says: "I never thought I could work this way - so freely, so uninhibited. To be honest, I never thought I could make this album."
