Émile Parisien Floating Quartet
French saxophonist Émile Parisien brings his Floating Quartet to Paradox: an international ensemble featuring bassist Linda May Han Oh, pianist Yaron Herman and tabla player Prabhu Edouard.
Yaron Herman (Tel Aviv, 1981) is a French-Israeli jazz pianist and composer based in Paris. He took up the piano at sixteen after a knee injury ended his career as a basketball player on the Israeli junior national team, studying under Opher Brayer using a method rooted in philosophy, mathematics and psychology. A winner of the Victoire du Jazz, he has performed in the world's leading concert halls and is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive improvisers of his generation.
Herman performed in March 2026 with the project Floating - together with Émile Parisien, Linda May Han Oh and Prabhu Edouard - at the Philharmonie de Berlin and La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt.
The quartet Floating, with Herman on piano, tours major festivals worldwide in the 2026-2027 season.
Herman released the single 'Better Place Blues' in 2026.
On 4 April 2025, Herman's album Radio Paradise was released on the Naïve label, recorded with saxophonists María Grand and Alexandra Grimal, bassist Haggai Cohen Milo and drummer Ziv Ravitz.
In 2025, Herman also released the singles 'The Minute Before', 'Hymn (For A Good Day)' and 'Trust'.
