Maria Mendes is a Dutch jazz vocalist with Portuguese roots. She won an Edison Award and collaborated with the Metropole Orkest on the live album Saudade, Colour of Love (2022), which was named best jazz album of the year by several international jazz publications. Her music weaves jazz together with Portuguese influences, earning praise from Quincy Jones and Hermeto Pascoal.
