Fuse & Kinan Azmeh

Fuse, the Amsterdam-based alternative-classical ensemble and house band of the television programme Podium Klassiek, and Syrian-American clarinetist and composer Kinan Azmeh have known each other for years. With the concert FREE, they embark on their first tour together.

FREE is a programme centred on hope, memory and connection, with space for improvisation and melody. For Kinan Azmeh, music is an 'act of freedom' - his roots in Arabic music, his classical training and jazz background align with the free working method of Fuse, the string quartet with double bass and drums.

Line-up: clarinet Kinan Azmeh, viola Adriaan Breunis, drums Daniel van Dalen, violin Julia Philippens, cello Mascha van Nieuwkerk, double bass Tobias Nijboer.
