PACESHIFTERS play Nirvana + Cloudsurfers

In 1991, alternative music broke into the mainstream with Nirvana's Nevermind as a landmark. Thirty-five years later, that album still sounds urgent. For PACESHIFTERS, a rock band that has been touring Europe for 15 years, Nirvana is a major source of inspiration. They don't perform Nevermind in full, but a set of tracks from that album supplemented with other Nirvana classics.

Support comes from Cloudsurfers, a five-piece band from Nijmegen. Their sound combines garage punk, post-grunge and psychedelic rock, and their new material shows a broader dynamic than earlier work: songs that take up more space, hooks that stick around and melodies that cut as hard as the noise.
