Johanette Zomer, Bert van den Brink & Friends present Yuletide Sessions, a Christmas concert where Baroque and jazz converge. Well-known and lesser-known Christmas carols receive their own character while retaining the charm of the originals.

The programme draws from centuries-old traditions across Europe and America: the majestic Once in Royal David's City, the restrained Maria durch ein Dornwald ging, Arvo Pärt's Weihnachtliches Wiegenlied and Bach's Flößt, mein Heiland. Interspersed are Catalan Christmas carols such as El noi de la Mare and El petit vailet, alongside classics like Ding Dong Merrily on High, Gaudete and In dulci jubilo. The concert concludes with a Yuletide Sessions Medley featuring Christmas music from the twentieth century.
