Bert van den Brink (born 1958 in Geldrop) is a Dutch jazz pianist, organist, accordionist, composer-arranger and teacher. He graduated cum laude in classical piano from the Utrecht Conservatory and is entirely self-taught as a jazz improviser - a combination that gives his playing a distinctive voice. In 2007 he received the VPRO/Boy Edgar Prize, the Netherlands' most prestigious jazz award, with the jury praising his listening skills and immediately recognisable style. Alongside his regular duo with soprano Johannette Zomer, he has collaborated with figures such as Toots Thielemans, Chet Baker and Dee Dee Bridgewater, and writes arrangements for ensembles including the Metropole Orkest.
