Iskander Moon

Following the acclaimed EP Are You Lost Here? (2024) and debut single Saturday Silence, indie-pop singer-songwriter Iskander Moon has released his long-awaited debut album Salt Moon City. On 11 October he performs it for the first time at Nieuwe Nor.

Over the past two years, Iskander drew inspiration for the album from more than 60 concerts across Europe. From his new base in Brussels, he worked simultaneously as a producer and musician on singles and albums by other artists.

Salt Moon City was created in diverse locations - from Berlin and New York to a 19th-century castle just across the French border. The result is richly orchestrated alternative pop in which the 25-year-old Iskander combines his background as a classical pianist and composer with his experience as a bassist and singer in rock projects. His influences range from Paolo Nutini, Sufjan Stevens and Coldplay to Bach and Debussy.
