On 10 December, Nile takes the stage at Poppodium Nieuwe Nor in Heerlen. The American death metal band, founded in 1993 by guitarist Karl Sanders, combines lightning-fast drums, intricate guitar work and heavy riffs with influences from the music and mythology of ancient Egypt.

Albums like Black Seeds of Vengeance, In Their Darkened Shrines and Annihilation of the Wicked established the band as a fixture in the international metal scene. With their recent album The Underworld Awaits Us All, Nile proves that their formula remains vital after more than three decades.
