TAXITAXI

Dutch-language punk rock band TAXITAXI describes themselves as megacool - and they absolutely are. Three guys in uniform play songs with no more than four lines each, where audience participation isn't optional but a given. No English, no wasted words.

The band has torn through schools, supermarkets, churches and clinics, literally wrecked Paaspop, scored high at ESNS and is on 3FM's radar. Their repertoire ranges from "Wil je me VWO diploma zien" and "Mensen praten" to "Doodsbang". For fans of Hang Youth and The Hives' short, punchy tracks, The B-52s' silly vibes and the Backstreet Boys' sex appeal.

Support comes from Rotzorg, the Dutch punk band that cheerfully powers through songs about contemporary politics and heading to the pub. For lovers of De Heideroosjes, Hang Youth and Ploegendienst.
