Theocracy + Sunburst + Signum Regis

Theocracy has been active for over twenty years as the project of guitarist-singer Matt Smith, who pours his heart into grand melodies, thundering riffs and catchy choruses. On their fifth album Mosaic, the American quintet delivered their most ambitious work to date, blending power metal with progressive craftsmanship. On Friday 5 March, the band kicks off the European "Grand Mosaic Tour 2027" at Nieuwe Nor, performing both new material and classics from five albums.

Support comes from Sunburst, the Greek progressive metal band led by guitarist Gus Drax (ex-Suicidal Angels). The band rarely performs live, but makes an exception for this tour. Aardschok previously featured Sunburst in their 10x Eremetaal series, in part thanks to the warm vocals of Vasilis Georgiou.

The third act is Slovakia's Signum Regis, a regular on European stages with a loyal following in the Netherlands and Belgium. The band presents their new album Beyond Spacetime, on which Theocracy singer Matt Smith makes a guest appearance.
