Sunburst is a Greek progressive metal band founded in 2010 by guitarist Gus Drax, known from Suicidal Angels and Black Fate. The band pairs heavy riffing with the melodic vocals of Vasilis Georgiou, drawing comparisons to Dream Theater and Kamelot. Their two albums on Inner Wound Recordings - Fragments of Creation (2016) and the acclaimed Manifesto (2024) - have earned them a firm place in the international prog metal scene. Dutch metal magazine Aardschok included Manifesto in its prestigious 10x Eremetaal list for July 2024.
Manifesto was released in November 2024 also on vinyl in a limited 'Ember' edition of 200 copies worldwide, released via Inner Wound Recordings.
Aardschok included Manifesto in the 10x Eremetaal list of July 2024, together with names such as Deep Purple and Rotting Christ.
Sunburst released their second album Manifesto on 14 June 2024 via Inner Wound Recordings, eight years after the debut Fragments of Creation.
Sunburst performed at the Golden R Festival 2024 in Volos, one of the better-known rock and metal festivals in Greece.
