Gene Lake is an American drummer with a long career spanning jazz, funk and soul. He has worked with artists including Steve Coleman, D'Angelo and George Duke, and is known for his versatile, groove-driven playing. As a sideman he appears on dozens of recordings across a wide range of styles.
