On Tuesday, 1 September 2026, Josh Smith returns to Café de Cactus for just one show in the Netherlands. He performs with Travis Carlton (bass) and Gene Lake (drums).

Josh Smith is a guitarist with a distinctive sound blending blues, rock and jazz. Beyond his own work, he has collaborated with Joe Bonamassa, Eric Johnson, Andy Timmons and Kirk Fletcher. As a producer, he has received two Grammy nominations, including for "Crown" by Eric Gales. In 2026, he produced "B.B. King's Blues Summit 100" with Joe Bonamassa, an album featuring 33 artists including Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Chaka Khan and George Benson.

Doors open at 20:00, show starts at 20:30. Note: this is a standing concert with very limited seating (bar stools).

Travis Carlton is an American bassist and son of guitarist Larry Carlton. He has worked with artists such as Robben Ford and appeared on various blues and rock projects. As a sideman he is known for his solid, musical bass playing that fits naturally in blues and jazz settings.
