Church of Cash, Extra Show! (Johnny Cash Tribute, USA)

Church of Cash keeps the musical legacy of Johnny Cash alive with conviction. The band from Honolulu, Hawaii, was founded in 2010 and is known as one of the best Cash tribute bands in the world.

Their repertoire spans nearly 150 songs: from early work like Hey Porter and the Sun recordings rockabilly hits to classics such as I Walk The Line, Ring Of Fire and Folsom Prison Blues, and later material from the American Recordings series, including the haunting Hurt. Singer Jay Ernest plays a key role: his deep baritone voice, supported by acoustic guitar and harmonica, captures Cash's distinctive sound remarkably well. The showmanship of the Man in Black is also very much present.
