The band was founded in 2010 in Honolulu, Hawaii, by Jay Ernest and has since performed across Asia, America, and multiple times at De Kroepoekfabriek (2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023). With around 130 songs in their repertoire, Church of Cash moves effortlessly between the rebellion of Folsom Prison Blues and San Quentin, the rockabilly of the Sun Recordings era, and the fire and fragility of the American Recordings comeback albums.
