Church of Cash (Johnny Cash Tribute, USA)

Church of Cash keeps the musical legacy of Johnny Cash alive with conviction. The band from Honolulu, Hawaii, was founded in 2010 and is known as one of the strongest Cash tributes in the world.

Singer Jay Ernest has a dark baritone voice that immediately recalls Cash. Together with Don Diego (guitar), Jason Hoffman (bass) and Jonathon TeBeest (drums), the band plays a broad repertoire: from early Sun recordings and rockabilly hits to the later American Recordings. Songs like I Walk The Line, Ring Of Fire, Folsom Prison Blues, A Boy Named Sue and Hurt are on the setlist, but with a catalogue of nearly 150 songs there is plenty of room for surprises.

In November 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 they already performed at Café de Cactus - several times for a sold-out room. In 2025 they came by no fewer than four times.
