State Power

State Power describes their music as "pure love in its most aggressive form" - and with their debut album Hyperstition, they haven't held back. The Utrecht-based band takes the stage at Nieuwe Nor on 12 December.

In their first two years, they released two well-received EPs and played a string of festival shows, including two appearances at Jera On Air. Their thrashing, catchy hardcore never stops moving.

With Hyperstition, they aim for something bigger - and something far uglier. The album takes aim at technocapitalism, wielding raw energy and sharp social critique as weapons.
