About

ISE is the stage name of Ise Smeets (Bree, 2006), a Belgian singer-songwriter who turns personal stories into indie rock with a distinctly 90s guitar sound, accompanying herself on guitar and piano. She won Studio Brussel's talent competition De Nieuwe Lichting in 2024 and became the youngest female artist ever to appear on the Rock Werchter lineup. Her debut album *Suitcase Child*, released in January 2026, draws on her childhood growing up between two homes after her parents' divorce.

ISE performed at Rock Werchter in July 2026, once again as one of the youngest names on the festival's lineup.

In March 2026, ISE played three intimate shows in Germany (Cologne, Hamburg, Düsseldorf) as part of the Suitcase Child tour.

On February 20, 2026, ISE presented her debut album at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, for the first time with a full band.
