Kaat Van Stralen is a Belgian punk band from Aarschot, built around singer-songwriter Kaat Vanstraelen and three bandmates. Their sound weaves punk, psychedelia and spoken word together, driven by poetic, feminist lyrics and sharp social commentary. The band broke through in 2025 with debut single 'Stop Met Wenen', winning the Studio Brussel competition De Nieuwe Lichting and later the MIA award for Best Alternative.
Kaat Van Stralen opened the Main Stage of Rock Werchter on 5 July 2026, less than two years after their victory at De Nieuwe Lichting.
The band released the new single 'Straaltjes' on 20 June 2026.
