British rock legends Hawkwind perform at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.
Hawkwind are a British rock band formed in London in November 1969, widely regarded as pioneers of space rock. Led by guitarist and vocalist Dave Brock, they blend psychedelic rock, proto-punk and experimental electronics into a sound that has remained distinctively their own for over fifty years. Classics such as 'Silver Machine' and 'Space Ritual', alongside 37 studio albums, have earned them a devoted global following. Their live shows - built around laser displays and cosmic visuals - have become a genre benchmark.
Hawkwind released the compilation 'Psychedelic Selection' on 12 June 2026 via Cherry Red Records, featuring new studio material, unreleased archive recordings and reworked classics - including the final studio recording of guitarist Huw Lloyd-Langton.
The band announced Dutch concert dates for September 2026, with performances in Heerlen (Theater Heerlen, 12 September) and Utrecht (TivoliVredenburg, 13 September).
On 18 April 2025, the 37th studio album 'There Is No Space for Us' was released via Cherry Red Records, simultaneously with a British spring tour.
