SLIFT (FRA) + Yoo Doo Right (CAN)

French trio SLIFT from Toulouse has been making psychedelic rock with stoner and space rock influences, metal edges and long, improvisation-driven jams since 2016. Heavy fuzz riffs and cosmic sounds form the core of their sound, which has drawn international attention through intense live shows and a widely-watched KEXP session.

Their fourth album is called Fantasia - with some irony, as it is their tightest and most direct record. Eight tracks about the power to fight back, delivered by a band that wastes no note.

In 2024 they played as a mainstage act at VERA for the first time; this time they come as support. That role is reserved for Canadian experimental rock trio Yoo Doo Right, which combines noisy guitar parts, heavy synthesizer soundscapes, deep bass grooves and loud percussion into a wall of sound - with influences from krautrock, shoegaze, post-rock and psychedelica.
