SLIFT (FRA) + Yoo Doo Right (CAN)
French psychedelic rockers SLIFT headline with Canadian experimental trio Yoo Doo Right. Heavy fuzz riffs, cosmic textures and walls of noise.
Yoo Doo Right are an experimental rock outfit from Montréal, Canada, whose name is borrowed from a track by German krautrock legends Can. The duo of Justin Cober (guitars, synthesizers, vocals) and John Talbot (drums, percussion) builds sprawling, hypnotic pieces that sit at the crossroads of post-rock, krautrock and shoegaze. Two of their albums have been longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize, cementing their reputation well beyond the Canadian underground.
Yoo Doo Right announced their fourth studio album 'Build and Rest by the Shepherd's Light' for November 6, 2026 via Mothland, with the first single 'Doldrums, Doldrums, Eviler Than the Devil'.
The band announced a European autumn tour, including a performance at Left of the Dial in Rotterdam and shows as support for SLIFT in the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy and France.
Yoo Doo Right released the improvisation album 'Yoo II avec Nolan Potter' together with Population II and multi-instrumentalist Nolan Potter, combining krautrock, free jazz and noise.
The album 'From the Heights of Our Pastureland' (2024) was nominated for the longlist of the Polaris Music Prize 2025.
The third album 'From the Heights of Our Pastureland' was released on November 8, 2024 via Mothland, recorded with producer Seth Manchester at Machines with Magnets in Pawtucket.
