Gob is a Canadian punk band from Langley, British Columbia, founded in 1993 by guitarists Tom Thacker and Theo Goutzinakis. They broke through with The World According to Gob (2001) and hits like 'I Hear You Calling' and 'Give Up the Grudge', both featured in EA Sports titles including NHL 2002 and Madden NFL 2004. With two Juno Award nominations and over 300,000 albums sold, they are a fixture of the melodic punk scene - and in 2023, after three decades of touring North America, they finally made their first European run.
Gob performed at the Peterborough Musicfest on the Fred Anderson Stage in Del Crary Park on July 19, 2025.
Dine Alone Records released limited vinyl reissues of multiple Gob albums, including the debut EP and Too Late... No Friends.
Gob undertook their very first European tour, with stops in Germany, Slovenia and Italy - a milestone after more than thirty years.
In 2024 the band limited themselves to a selection of North American shows, partly because guitarist Tom Thacker was active with Sum 41.
