Pier15 x MEZZ: gob

gob is one of Canada's most influential pop-punk bands. Active since 1993, their music has soundtracked countless skate parks. Co-founder, lead singer and guitarist Tom Thacker is also known from Sum 41. The band has played the Vans Warped Tour and now takes the stage at Pier15.

Their breakthrough came in 1995 with 'Soda', from the album 'Too Late… No Friends'. Singles like 'I Hear You Calling' and 'Give Up the Grudge' solidified their position in the genre. To date, they have released six albums and sold 300,000 copies, alongside numerous nominations.

Their most recent album, 'Apt 13', came after a hiatus due to Tom Thacker's commitments with Sum 41. The record combines full guitar sounds and catchy rhythms with backing vocals that draw from both The Beach Boys and influential punk acts from the 1970s.
