About

The Bintangs were founded in Beverwijk in 1961 by Frank and Arti Kraaijeveld and are widely regarded as the oldest active rock band in the Netherlands. Starting out as an indorock outfit, they quickly shifted toward a raw rhythm-and-blues sound rooted in British and American blues. In 2019 they were inducted into the Dutch Blues Hall of Fame. Their 65th anniversary in 2026 doubles as a farewell: the 'Bintangs Bye Bye' tour marks the end of their run.
