Niels Geusebroek sings Coldplay

On 30 October, Niels Geusebroek performs at Poppodium Nieuwe Nor in Heerlen with his programme "Niels Geusebroek sings Coldplay". He draws from the band's repertoire with respect for the originals but always with his own distinctive touch.

Coldplay holds special meaning for Niels. Particularly the early albums - Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X&Y and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends - form his primary source of inspiration. "It feels like being a kid in a candy shop to be able to draw from all the beautiful music Coldplay has created. It's a joy to play those songs," says Niels himself.

Niels Geusebroek broke through to a wide audience in 2011 via The Voice of Holland. Since then he has scored hits such as Year of Summer and Take Your Time Girl.
