Barn & Belle

Barn & Belle is a Limburgian Americana duo with a passion for close harmony and old-time instrumentation. They blend bluegrass, ragtime, swing, folk, country and blues into their own songs, armed with nothing more than an acoustic guitar, dobro, washboard, their 'Travellers Drumkit' and two voices. Musically, they draw from the 1930s and 1940s.

The two met at the Maastricht Conservatory and started making music together in early 2018. In 2022 they won the final of the Dutch Blues Challenge, after which they represented the Netherlands at the International Blues Challenge 2023 in Memphis. They then spent a month and a half touring the southern United States, where they performed regularly. Shortly after their return, their second EP 'The Dead Don't Dance' came out in March 2023. In 2023 and 2024 they played over 50 shows a year throughout the Netherlands, and in autumn 2025 they appeared on 'Holland's Got Talent'.

For their debut album 'Safe Travels' - recorded in both the Netherlands and Nashville - they return to Nieuwe Nor on 9 October for the album release show. This is an intimate club show.
