I Promised The World are a metalcore and screamo band from Denton, Texas, founded in 2020 by Caleb Molina - first as Sw!tch, then as Sinema. Under that name they put out the EP After The Flatline (2023) and the album Fear Of The Fall (2024) before renaming themselves in early 2025, taking their current name from a Saosin lyric. Signing to Rise Records in November 2025 and releasing their self-titled EP in January 2026 catapulted them to the front of the aughts metalcore revival.
Revolver Magazine portrayed the band as a driver of the aughts-metalcore-revival and reported that they won the readers' poll as the most promising breakthrough act of 2026.
The eponymous EP I Promised The World was released on January 16, 2026 via Rise Records, produced by Jon Markson and Adam Cichocki.
On November 5, 2025, the band announced their signing with Rise Records and shared the single 'Bliss in 7 Languages'.
The EP was announced along with the band's first headlining tour in the US.
The band changed their name from Sinema to I Promised The World in May 2025, partly on the advice of their lawyer with a view to a possible signing with a major label.
