BORIS - PINK 20th Anniversary Tour
The Japanese trio Boris has been playing across genres for over thirty years - from psychedelia and punk to sludge, doom metal, drone, pop, noise, shoegaze and ambient. With each album they reinvent themselves, and it never gets old. This year they performed at the Roadburn festival, where they made an impression once again.
On 12 November, Boris comes to De Helling in Utrecht for the 20th Anniversary Tour of their album Pink. That evening is entirely dedicated to 2005, when the band was in the middle of their drone-meets-shoegaze-meets-ambient phase.
Support comes from Planning for Burial, the DIY project of producer/songwriter Tom Wasluck - also one of the notable names at the recent Roadburn. As a one-man band, he compresses elements of shoegaze, doom, slowcore and black metal from his home studio into an ash-grey substance.
