Violent Vira sees mosh pits as therapy. Singer Amy Gonzales channels her personal experiences into furious metalcore with a melodic edge - melodious hooks alternating with devastating screams. She grew up in a trailer park in Idaho as the daughter of first-generation Mexican immigrants, and the broken American system made life hard for her family, especially during the freezing winters.

Musically, she has followed a striking trajectory: from Mexican pop girl to melodic metalhead, influenced by Evanescence, Linkin Park and Three Days Grace. She started playing on street corners with her ukulele and participated in talent shows, but her real breakthrough came in 2021 when the single I Don't Care went mega-viral.

Since then, Amy has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and toured with Babymetal. On 21 November, Violent Vira takes the stage at De Helling for her very first performance on Dutch soil - with a brand new album in hand.
