Violent Vira is the stage name of Amy Gonzales, a Mexican-American singer-songwriter who grew up in a trailer park in Boise, Idaho. Her 2021 debut single 'I Don't Care' went viral on TikTok and has since surpassed 100 million Spotify streams. In 2025 she signed with Mom+Pop Music and released her debut album Lover of a Ghost, produced by Grammy-winner Jennifer Decilveo. Blending melodic vocals with raw screams in the tradition of early-2000s alt-metal, she has built her following through sold-out headline tours and major festival slots at Sick New World and Welcome to Rockville.
Violent Vira is on the 'Live In Europe' tour in autumn 2026 with shows in, among others, Utrecht, Berlin, Cologne, Antwerp, Paris and London.
