Fanfare Ciocărlia is a Romanian Roma brass band from the remote village of Zece Prăjini in northeastern Romania, discovered in 1996 by German music enthusiast Henry Ernst. Their 1998 debut album Radio Pașcani on Piranha Records almost single-handedly ignited the global Balkan brass craze. Since then they have played over 3,000 concerts across more than fifty countries, performed at the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, and contributed music to the Borat films and the 2024 animated series Creature Commandos.
