Leenalchi
Two bass guitars, a drum kit, and four singers: with this unconventional lineup, South Korean Leenalchi conquers stages worldwide with their distinctive, danceable take on traditional Pansori. They performed at GROUNDS in 2022, and now they're back.
In a landscape dominated by the K-pop industry, Leenalchi elevates the small but passionate Korean indie scene to international prominence. Samsung, Gucci, and Netflix have all collaborated with them, and Brian Eno never misses a chance to express his admiration for their surprising sound. Following the albums Sugungga (2020) and Heungboga (2025), their brand-new EP Here Comes That Crow breathes new life into the centuries-old Pansori tradition - a tradition so ancient that even contemporary Koreans barely understand the texts with their rhythmic sound names.
Combined with psychedelic, repetitive drums and bass lines, those sounds slip effortlessly into your head.
