Carson McHone is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, now based in Southern Ontario, Canada. She works at the intersection of folk, country and poetry, with arrangements that are spare but richly layered in meaning. Her fourth album Pentimento (Merge Records, 2025), written in the Texas desert and recorded on the Canadian coast, is widely regarded as her most ambitious record to date. Rolling Stone named her one of ten new country artists to watch back in 2017.
Carson McHone begins a series of headliner shows in the United Kingdom and Europe in August 2026, with multiple stops in the Netherlands (Ermelo, Twello, Utrecht and Nijmegen).
McHone shared the video clip for 'The Canvas' as an announcement of her first European tour since the release of Pentimento.
Pentimento, her fourth studio album, was released on 12 September 2025 via Merge Records.
McHone announced Pentimento with the first single 'Winter Breaking', a song built from bird sounds and spoken text.
