South For Winter

South For Winter originated in New Zealand but is now based in Nashville. Their music resists easy categorization, moving fluidly between dreamy acoustic folk and intricate vocal harmonies to robust Americana and dark, bluesy murder ballads.

Nick Stone, Dani Cichon and Alex Stradal each play multiple instruments, employing acoustic guitar, cello, mandolin, resonator guitar and percussion to shape their songs. Combined with their three-part harmonies, this creates a warm, organic sound that shifts from intimate and fragile to surprisingly powerful.

The band has performed at SXSW and Folk Alliance International, and grew in recognition with their 2024 album Of Sea and Sky. The record, supported by a successful crowdfunding campaign, led to sold-out shows across North America, New Zealand and Europe. Podium 't Beest in Goes is now on their tour schedule.
