About

South For Winter is a folk-americana trio that started in New Zealand and now works out of Nashville. Nick Stone, Dani Cichon and Alex Stradal switch between acoustic guitar, cello, mandolin, resonator guitar and percussion, layering it all with three-part harmonies. Their sound ranges from delicate acoustic folk to darker, bluesy murder ballads, as heard on the 2024 album Of Sea and Sky.
