Band on the Run

Band on the Run continues a cherished tradition: three Zeeland cover bands get the chance to make De Spot rock. Each band plays two 30-minute sets with their own cover repertoire - a mini-festival by and for cover bands in Zeeland and their fans.

80's Itch
The Walcheren concept band 80's Itch brings together experienced musicians who have crossed paths in various bands for years and have been playing together for the past year. The lineup: Frans on drums, André on bass, Jan on saxophone and keyboards, Guido on guitar, Frank on keyboards, Martin on sound, and Ron as frontman. Their repertoire spans English and Dutch hits, rock tracks, and dance floor bangers - all from the 1980s.

RE-ACT
RE-ACT was active on stages across the Netherlands between 2001 and 2013, with roots in Brabant. In 2024, the itch to play returned for longtime members Hans (bass guitar) and Kim (vocals), and the band found a new chapter in Zeeland. The reformed lineup is complete with Frank on guitar, Paul on drums, and Jason as second vocalist. The band deliberately plays less obvious numbers from the pop and rock repertoire.

Point Nemo
Point Nemo started in 2014 as a pop/rock band and deliberately shifted in 2023 toward a more accessible direction filled with 1980s hits and beloved classics. The lineup: Isa Garcia on vocals, Marc Smolders on bass, Nico Ottink on guitar and keyboards, Dirk-Jan Balkenende on guitar and backing vocals, and Leon Beekman on drums - with roots on Walcheren and South Beveland. The setlist features work by artists such as Depeche Mode, Kim Wilde, U2, Doe Maar, and The Scene, supplemented with excursions into the 1990s and more recent work by Kings of Leon and Nothing But Thieves.
