EIGEN WERK IN UITVOERING with The Covenant

Rockcafé Taste presents EIGEN WERK IN UITVOERING (Original Work in Performance), a series that gives bands with original material a platform six times a year - no cover bands, no standard commercial programming, but original music from young and established artists. This collaboration works with the Alliantie Muziekcafés quality mark (www.alliantiemuziekcafes.net).

This evening features The Covenant, a live band that has existed since 1988. Their style is best described as "rock, narrative, theatrical, raw" - though you really need to see them yourself. In early 2025, the band released their 9th album: "The Age of Rage!", about the madness of our times and the loss of bassist and founding band member Peter Stap.

Their track record is impressive: over 1,000 performances, 9 albums on Spotify, support slots for Pearl Jam (twice), Extreme, Shane McGowan, New Model Army, W.A.S.P., Bad Seeds and Tragically Hip. Their two-meter session with Jan-Douwe Kroeske and performances at Uitmarkt, the Amsterdam Liberation Festival, Appelpop and Dynamo are highlights in the band's history. Their Freund/Feind video on King's Day has been viewed over 122,000 times on Facebook.
