Frank van der Reep

About

Frank van der Reep is the vocalist and co-founder of Amsterdam rock band The Covenant, which he started with bassist Peter Stap in 1988. Dutch music magazine OOR once called them 'the last genuine underground band in the Netherlands'. The band has opened for Pearl Jam, Extreme, New Model Army and The Bad Seeds, and is known for Van der Reep's manic vocal style and high-energy live shows. In 2025 The Covenant released their ninth album, The Age of Rage, partly as a tribute to co-founder Peter Stap, who died in 2021.
