Hans Koomans is the guitarist and co-vocalist of Amsterdam rock band The Covenant, which he has been part of since 1988. He started out as the band's recording engineer - handling the sessions for the live album *The Original Covenant* (1997) - before moving first to Hammond organ and then to lead guitar. On the ninth studio album *The Age of Rage* (2025) he shares guitar and vocal duties alongside singer Frank van der Reep, bassist Erol Erdogan and drummer Daniël Jansen.
The Covenant released its ninth studio album *The Age of Rage* on March 21, 2025 via Dutch & Dregs, in a limited edition of 777 numbered copies.
The Dutch music magazine Written in Music published a positive review of *The Age of Rage* in May 2025, praising the tight tracklist and Koomans' guitar work.
The CD of *The Age of Rage* was released in a slipcase with screen-printed artwork inspired by a tile in Amsterdam School style from the nineteen-twenties.
