Alexandra Alden

Alexandra Alden creates indie-folk and synthpop - music for in-between moments, as she describes it: a glow announcing the morning, a mountain walk, a side job that lingers. On her native island of Malta, she is regarded as a beloved singer-songwriter.
Her life and music are constantly in motion. She has moved several times, but has a special bond with the Netherlands: she studied jazz at Codarts and spent a long time at the Batavierhuis, a cultural meeting place in Rotterdam. With the song 'Darling' she won the Ad Van Meurs Prize.
Live, she translates that intimacy into dreamy guitar passages and narrative lyrics.
