On 8 November, Kaya and Maartje share the stage at MEZZ for a Dutch pop double-bill.

Kaya
Kaya (Kaya van den Bosch) is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Amstelveen who gained attention on TikTok and YouTube with Dutch translations of well-known hits. He then found his own sound: honest Dutch lyrics, sensitive vocal lines, and American pop influences. On his debut EP 'Laat Mij Breekbaar Zijn' (Let Me Be Fragile), he sings about his love life - or rather, the lack of it. With vulnerable, relatable lyrics, he speaks to anyone who has ever felt like the third wheel, or missed the whole wagon. His mission: to shift the image of male artists in the Netherlands from bravado to sensitivity.

Maartje
Maartje grew up in a place where she didn't dare to be herself - the village's shame, as it felt. In her sharp-witted Dutch pop songs, she sings about love, loss, and the longing to be rescued from the ball pit. She sings from her toes, with narrative plainness and vocal boldness, and now speaks aloud what she once kept silent. Relatable, honest, and sometimes painfully on point.
