De Gelderlandfabriek, Culemborg · Pay What You Can

Blues — De Gelderlandfabriek, Culemborg

Every fourth Thursday of the month, De Gelderlandfabriek and For the Road host a blues evening. A resident house band accompanies rotating headliners - sometimes with spontaneous collaborations that emerge on the spot.

The house band consists of three musicians from the blues circuit: Harm van Essen (guitar, known from La Ratte, the Thomas Toussaint band and Greg Izor), drummer Paolo de Stigter from Leerdam (known from Little Hat, with whom he won the Dutch Blues Challenge) and bassist-organizer Walter Wilhelm (played with Nathan James, Dylan Bishop and Chris Corcoran among others).

Previous performers have included Roel Spanjers, Boy Vielvoye, Richard van Bergen, Thomas Toussaint, Little Steve and Marlon Pichel. International guests such as Greg Izor, Nathan James, Chris Corcoran, Little Victor, Kenan Ozdemir, Doghouse Sam and Shakedown Tim have also appeared regularly. For an impression, you can check the YouTube channel of Blues at the Factory.

Entry: Pay What You Can. You pay at the bar via a QR code. There is a suggested price, but you choose what you pay - less if that makes your visit easier, more if you can afford it.
