Blackrockstar

Blackrockstar is the alter ego of Rivelino Rigters, an artist who combines storytelling and rock with influences from Public Enemy, Ice Cube and Michael Jackson. His music is rooted in the power of gospel and social commitment - a direction he established early on and has consistently pursued.

Beyond his solo career, Rivelino works with young people both in the Netherlands and abroad. Through projects like Bloedband and the audiovisual concept Spear, he continues to explore new forms. Spear follows a journey from illness to recovery and combines an exhibition with powerful visuals, live music and an auction for the Kidney Foundation - followed by an album and a book.

In early 2025, Blackrockstar performed at ESNS during the Black Music Managers Network showcases, in collaboration with Pinguin Radio.
