Blackrockstar is the alter ego of Dutch artist Rivelino Rigters, who blends rock and storytelling with influences from gospel, Public Enemy and Michael Jackson. His work carries a strong social conscience. Projects like Bloedband and the audiovisual concept Spear - tracing a journey from illness to recovery - show his drive to keep pushing the format. In early 2025 he performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag as part of the Black Music Managers Network showcases.
