Hermine Deurloo, Femke Smit and Mike del Ferro

Hermine Deurloo, Mike del Ferro and vocalist Femke Smit perform as a trio with a programme honouring the work of Toots Thielemans, complemented by bossa nova, Brazilian music and original compositions.

Hermine Deurloo ranks among the international elite of chromatic harmonica players. After studying saxophone, she specialised on this instrument and contributed to countless albums and film scores. Toots Thielemans once called her his successor as ambassador of the chromatic harmonica.

Mike del Ferro is a pianist and composer with a background in jazz, classical and world music. He has performed in more than a hundred countries and is known for his lyrical playing style and sense of ensemble.

Femke Smit is a Dutch vocalist with a deep love for Brazilian music and culture. She speaks Portuguese fluently and has immersed herself in the rhythms and melodies of Brazil, including during stays in Rio de Janeiro.
